Lynda Lybeck-Robinson is a pianist, composer, and performer. After years on tour, she came to Unalaska for a 10 week performance contract and never left, founding the Aleutian Islands’ first piano teaching studio in 1997.

Lynda Lybeck-Robinson is a pianist, composer, and performer. After years on tour, she came to Unalaska for a 10 week performance contract and never left, founding the Aleutian Islands’ first piano teaching studio in 1997.
A Pacific Northwest native, she earned her B.A. from Linfield College, where she studied piano performance, composition, and choral arranging.
For over three decades, she has guided students in developing artistry, confidence, and creative expression at the piano. Her piano solo compositions reflect a deep sense of place and story, and her studio is known for musical excellence grounded in warmth, imagination, and high standards.
She is the composer of over 70 published works, including the celebrated NFMC Bulletin selections Williwaw and Cowboy World. Lynda holds MTNA Professional Certification (NCTM) and currently serves in state and national music leadership roles.

As of 2022, our Unalaska piano program has had the honor of participating virtually in the National Federation of Music Clubs spring adjudications via the Kenai Central Peninsula Music Teachers. We are pleased and proud to be included, and our motivated students have thus far received Superior and Excellent ratings for every event.

Because live music is precious and rare here, our Autumn and Spring live recitals and Christmas Local TV special recital are events anticipated for by students and community alike. Its not unusual to see us celebrating a theme and decorating our stage in our own unique style.

Full time piano students pay the same amount every month, regardless of how many lessons are received in the month. On average, a full time student will receive 30 lessons in a 9 month period. (September-May)
